Not On My Watch, 2015-2016

Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to supporting wounded military service members, as well as their families and caregivers, as they heal from the effects of battle. These brave men and women face a variety of challenges as they transition to civilian life. And when they are severely ill or injured, returning to their families is only the beginning of their long road home.

Our newest PSAs highlight our long-term support programs, designed specifically to provide severely ill or injured veterans the necessary day-to-day services they need to live full and independent lives – at no cost, for life. These PSAs capture the struggle, bravery, and sacrifice made by our nation's heroes and our collective responsibility to support them as they return from war.

You can help step up for them the way they have stepped up for us by including these PSAs in your programming as much as possible.

WWP provides 19 critical programs and services to assist these brave men and women along this difficult road. The first phase is to help them overcome the physical injuries and mental trauma incurred in battle. But that alone is not the end of the story. As they heal, new challenges arise: finding rewarding work and building a bright future for themselves and their loved ones.

That is why WWP has created a career counseling program called Warriors to Work™. It helps service members translate their military training into civilian jobs and links them with employers who can put their extensive skills to work.

The wounded veterans who so bravely served our country deserve the opportunity to create a happy and productive civilian life. They need the holistic support and resources that will heal their wounds and help them achieve success in their new careers. WWP is here to assist them in every phase of this process.

Please, help us welcome home the brave.

Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, organization whose mission is to honor and empower wounded warriors. To date, over 45,000 members of our nation’s armed forces have been physically wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan. Studies estimate more than 300,000 will suffer from the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury (TBI) (RAND 2007). These injuries are often devastating, leaving a formerly active young man or woman unable to care for themselves. While grateful for their return, the round-the-clock care required to treat these service members often falls on their families, giving caregivers no choice but to leave their jobs and forego healthcare of their own.

WWP provides programs and services to assist injured veterans and their families during their recovery, rehabilitation, and transition. Whether through caregiver retreats, combat stress programs, career and education services, or adaptive sporting opportunities, WWP’s vision is to help make this generation of service members the most successful and well-adjusted in our nation’s history.

This support cannot be underestimated and plays a vital role in enhancing the healing process. The PSAs come in lengths of 60 and 30 seconds for your convenience.
