Get Some Nature Into Your Kids

This television public service announcement aired on more than 400 national television networks, reaching millions of viewers across the nation to emphasize the importance of making a special connection with nature on a National Wildlife Refuge.

Art work from the TV campaign appeared on buses and in subway stations in the Washington, DC metro area and inside several major metropolitan airports.

Senses and Critters

Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar announced the launch of an extensive public service radio campaign urging Americans to connect with nature and visit a National Wildlife Refuge. It consists of eight professionally recorded 60-second spots extolling the sights and sounds of the National Wildlife Refuge System and their efforts to preserve some of these species.

“This is another National Wildlife Refuge minute,” begins each segment, before moving to four locales: Merced National Wildlife Refuge in California’s San Joaquin Valley, Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge in Florida, Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge, and Wallkill River National Wildlife Refuge in northern New Jersey.
