Target Lyme

With increasing numbers affecting more people than West Nile, tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS combined, Lyme disease is targeting America. The threatening bite of one tick could lead to Lyme disease. If left untreated, Lyme disease can cause arthritis-like joint pain, debilitating headaches, muscle weakness and paralysis, irregular heartbeat, severe fatigue, and central nervous system complications.

Checking for ticks is the best way to prevent Lyme disease and to reduce the growing number of cases.

We hope you will consider airing these public service announcements alerting families to the threat of Lyme disease and how to prevent it, especially during prime tick season.
