NFL players and brothers LaRon Landry of the Washington Redskins and Dawan Landry of the Baltimore Ravens have teamed up with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to explain the importance of making sure all Medicare beneficiaries have the best Medicare coverage to fit their needs.
Every year during the Medicare Open Enrollment period (November 15-December 31), people with Medicare have the opportunity to review their current health and prescription drug plans and make changes for the year ahead. LaRon and Dawan have helped their father, Frank, review his Medicare plan and encourage others do the same for their 2011 benefits.
There's never been a better time to check out your Medicare coverage. This year, there are new benefits available to all people with Medicare. These new benefits include a free annual wellness check-up, lower prescription drug costs and cancer screenings to help them stay healthy.
