People say it's just a cookie. What can a cookie do?

A Girl Scout cookie can do a lot. It could help send a kid to camp. It could help pay for a fresh change of clothes for an abuse victim rushed to a shelter. It can cheer up a soldier far from home.

Girl Scout cookies can help bring out the confidence in a girl. The cookie sale helps them to speak up, look people in the eye, believe in what they are doing and in themselves. With every season of Girl Scout cookies, another generation of girls learn to set goals, make a plan and manage money.

By putting these PSsA into your active rotation you're helping young girls learn valuable lessons about themselves as well as create lasting skills that will help them grow into productive women. In fact no university has produced as many female business owners as has the Girl Scouts cookie program.

Everybody likes cookies… and these are cookies that do good!

What Did You Do Today?

What did you do today? Girl Scouts do a lot more than people know. They build homes for the homeless. They spend a week at Space Camp. They travel to incredible places like Paris, London and India, just to name a few. They advocate for change at their neighborhood voting booths and through their consultative status at the United Nations. They go sea kayaking. They challenge their fears at X-camp on a zip line. Most of all, they enjoy non-stop fun.

Girls want to make a difference in the world. Wherever girls live, whatever their circumstance, Girl Scouts gives every girl access to life-changing experiences that inspire them to do big things. We believe that one girl can make a difference, and that girls together can change the world. By putting these PSAs into your rotation, you'll be supporting more than a cause or a cure. You're making a commitment to a generation.

Two-thirds of the women who are today's leaders in government, business, education, medicine, science and in their communities were once Girl Scouts. But two-thirds of too few is not enough. We focus on what girls need to thrive in a rapidly changing world, by giving them the skills and confidence to lead the way.

I thank you and girls in your area thank you in advance for placing the Girl Scouts 2010 PSAs into your rotation. So, when someone asks, "What did you do today?" You can tell them that that you, too, have helped to change the world.
