The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's
“Be brave. Ask questions!” So says writer/performer Jenny Allen in new public service announcements (PSAs) from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Inside Knowledge informs women about the five main types of gynecologic cancers – cervical, ovarian, uterine, vaginal, and vulvar cancers. In 2007, the most recent year for which statistics are available, 80,976 women in the U.S. were diagnosed with a gynecologic cancer and 27,739 died from one. Please help educate women about gynecologic cancer, and encourage them to pay attention to their bodies and seek medical attention if they have symptoms that last for two weeks or longer.
