When two leading organizations dealing with end-of-life care (Partnership for Caring Inc. and Last Acts Inc.) came together to be a singular voice for the dying, they turned to Plowshare Group. Our challenge was to create a compelling brand identity for this merged entity on a topic that nobody wants to talk about or deal with.

Our graphic designer did a full logo exploratory based upon the agreed objectives and strategies. The outcome was a wide range of possibilities. Ultimately the winner was the ‘crescent moon phase’ design that related perfectly to the last phase of life. Plowshare also developed the organization’s descriptive theme line: Advocating Quality End-Of-Life Care.

To announce the merger and to reach both consumers and health care professionals, Plowshare created a [paid] print ad campaign that ran in such publications as U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals edition.
