Scope of Work: Issue Advocacy Advertising (paid)
Website:

“Driving While Black,” “Asset Forfeiture,” “Privacy Laws” and “Bigotry” were the topics of conversation in a series of Op Ed paid advertisements for the American Civil Liberties Union. The ads were created to help define the ACLU at its core – as the protector of the basic liberties that the founders of this country sought to protect.

Ads sought to stimulate a dialogue about these controversial subjects and positioned these polarizing issues in a nonbiased way. The ads asked readers to judge for themselves and gave out the Executive Director of the ACLU’s direct email to further the debate. The campaign was featured in the "New York Times" Op Ed section for over a year.
